Abhay Jajoo – Abhay is a serial entrepreneur with growing businesses in Phoenix. Lesley Gates-McCulley – Lesley is the owner of Gates to HR http://www.gatestohr.com which she founded after leaving Phelps Dodge. She has extensive human resources management experience in diverse corporate and work site environments, including small business through Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies. Throughout her career she has created HR infrastructure and led project teams aimed at starting or working in a small business.
Jeffrey Taylor – After a corporate career with Citibank and Peat Marwick, Jeffrey read an issue of Entrepreneur and became one. During his successful consulting career he published two textbooks which are still used by global financial institutions. In the last couple of years he has lectured on Sarbanes-Oxley to major financial institutions, developed business plans for start-up companies, prepared companies to go public, helped companies raise both private and public capital and made independent movies. His new book, “Going from W2 to 1099?, will be published this summer.

Phoenix Arizona — Community Information & Referral’s Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Tax Assistance Hotline is available through April 15th This special Hotline, in cooperation with the IRS, provides information on locations where low and moderate income individuals and families can go to have their tax forms prepared free of charge. Volunteers at the sites are trained by the IRS and at certain locations, can file your taxes electronically, also free of charge. Call (602) 263-8856 or 1-(800) 352-3792 outside Maricopa County or visit our website at http://www.cir.org/ for details. 2008 EITC/Tax Assistance Hotline sponsors are Arizona Public Service (APS), Salt River Project (SRP), and Southwest Gas Corporation.
Last year (January 1, 2008 through April 15, 2008 14,318 callers were assisted by the EITC Hotline.
Community Information & Referral (CIR), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, provides FREE 24-hour Help Hotline services to ten Arizona counties, including the greater Phoenix area. Trained Information & Referral Specialists respond to calls for help, assess problems, and provide appropriate information and/or referrals to available community resources. Scottsdale Pavilions and Barrett-Jackson Partner to Host Car Show
Show off Your Car for a Chance to Win the Coveted ‘Barrett-Jackson Choice Award’, Plus Tickets to the 2009 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction Event!
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Scottsdale Pavilions (Loop 101 and Indian Bend Rd.) will pair with Barrett-Jackson on Saturday, Jan. 10 to host a larger version of the Scottsdale Pavilions weekly Saturday night car show. While attendance to the Scottsdale Pavilions Car Show is already about 400 show vehicles many more are expected this weekend! The show will take place in front of the McDonald’s at Scottsdale Pavilions from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
“Barrett-Jackson is absolutely thrilled to participate in the Scottsdale Pavilions Car Show this weekend,” said Gary Bennett, Barrett-Jackson’s vice president of consignment. “The Scottsdale Pavilions Car Show is a highly respected weekly event among car buffs. This is a great opportunity for us to kick-off our biggest week of the year with the most dedicated car enthusiasts in the community.”
Car enthusiasts will not want to miss the Barrett-Jackson Coach and the Barrett-Jackson blimp flying over throughout the event. Barrett-Jackson will be giving away tickets to the Scottsdale Auction event every 30 minutes. To win, just sign up at the Barrett-Jackson Coach! Car show participants will have a chance to win the coveted ‘Barrett-Jackson Choice Award!’ Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson, and vice president of Barrett-Jackson Gary Bennett, will be there to judge the show cars. Six “Barrett-Jackson Choice Awards” will be awarded along with tickets to the Barrett-Jackson Auction on January 11-18, 2009 at WestWorld of Scottsdale.
The event will also feature the Casino Arizona trailer with prizes, an international band, and a DJ entertaining throughout the evening. Magazines and fliers will be handed out and Barrett-Jackson T-Shirts, hats, and catalogs will available for purchase.

To have your vehicle judged in the show, simply show up! There is no need to enter. Steve Davis and Gary Bennett will be judging vehicles between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. with awards presentation beginning at 7 p.m.

Changing Hands Outdoors – Hiking Arizona
Changing Hands Bookstore is proud to present Changing Hands Outdoors: A series of hiking events each with a unique theme to expand your mind, body and spirit. Each hike includes a sack lunch from the Wildflower Bread Company. You will be asked for a sandwich preference when making your reservation. Sign up is limited, so please call us at 480.730.0205, stop by or email for one or more of these hikes. Once you have registered for a hike, you will receive a confirmation email with directions to the trail head. Ending times vary. Hikes are approximately 4-5 hours.
