City of Mesa to host Arizona Planning Association Conference
The City of Mesa will host the 2006 Arizona Planning Association
Conference, “Building Successful Partnerships,” Sept 27-29. Over 360=
planning professionals have signed up for the three-day event, which will=
kick-off with an opening reception at the Mesa Art Center.
“As planners in Arizona, we work hard everyday on both short-term =
goals and long-term visions to build successful partnerships among variou=
s
groups or stakeholders. In response to this, we are partnering with othe=
r
East Valley cities to offer a well-rounded conference filled with thought=
provoking sessions,” said Vice President, 2006 Arizona Planning
Association Conference, Wahid Alam.
A Pre-Conference Workshop scheduled for Wednesday, Sept will
present an in-depth look at conflict resolution by Lance Decker, author o=
f
the book “Over My Dead Body.” Several other mobile workshops also ar=
e
planned that will showcase successful partnerships in and around Mesa.
